Installation
SAF Weather needs no database. ox_lib is optional: without it, notifications use your framework's own, then the GTA feed.
Steps
- Put the
saf-weatherfolder in yourresourcesfolder. - Add it to
server.cfg, after your framework:server.cfgensure saf-weather - Stop every other time or weather sync. See Other weather scripts.
- Give your staff access to the panel and staff commands:server.cfg
add_ace group.admin weather.staff allow - Start the server. The console prints the framework it found and the weather and time it restored.
Other weather scripts
Two scripts setting the weather fight every few seconds and players see the sky flicker. Remove these from
server.cfg if you run them:
# remove these
ensure qb-weathersync
ensure qbx_weathersync
ensure cd_easytime
ensure vSyncvMenu has its own time and weather sync. Turn it off:
setr vmenu_enable_weather_sync false
setr vmenu_enable_time_sync falseSAF Weather prints a warning in the console when it finds another sync running (Config.Sync.WarnConflicts).
Permissions
weather.staff opens the control panel and allows /setweather, /settime, /freezetime and /blackout.
Framework admin groups listed in Config.StaffGroups (admin, god and superadmin by default) also count.
The server console can always run the staff commands.
/forecast is open to every player.
To use your own staff system, replace Bridge.IsStaff. See Custom servers.
Files it writes
With Config.Sync.Save = true, the weather, clock, forecast and settings are saved to state.json in the
resource folder. Delete it to start fresh from Config.Time.Start and Config.Weather.Start.
Updating
Replace every file except your custom/ folder and state.json. Keep config changes in custom/shared/ so
they survive. See Custom servers.
