YouTube videos don't play
YouTube only plays on https pages. With Config.ScreenUrl = 'auto' the page is hosted through your server's
cfx.re address, which only exists once the server is listed with Cfx.re. Check:
- The server is not running with
sv_lan 1. - The console printed a link for the TV page on start.
- The server has been up for a minute or two. The address can take a moment to show up after a start.
If your server can't be listed, host html/os yourself and set Config.ScreenUrl to its https link. See
The TV page.
Search and rows are empty
Searches go from your server to YouTube. Make sure the server can reach the internet and isn't blocked by a
firewall. Results are cached for Config.FeedCacheMinutes, so a fix can take up to that long to show on the
home screen rows.
Clicks land slightly off the screen
The mouse is mapped onto the screen with the model's screen inset. Run /tvfit at that TV to line the
picture up, or set screen for that model in Config.Models. Fits from /tvfit are saved for everyone.
The picture sits off the glass on a TV model
Use /tvfit at that TV. For a model whose render target doesn't fit at all, set draw = 'glass' on its
entry in Config.Models.
Two TVs in one room show the same thing
TVs that share a render target show the nearest TV's content. This is a game limit. Keep one TV per room, or use models with different targets.
A web page's sound is heard from far away
Sound from inside a web page can't be faded by distance. That is why web pages only load within
Config.WebRange. Lower it if needed.
Players can't place a TV
- The item is missing from the inventory's item list. Add it from
install/. - The player is at
Config.Placeable.MaxPerPlayer. - The spot is further than
Config.Placeable.PlaceDistance.
A link won't load
The host may be in Config.BlockedHosts, the link may be longer than Config.MaxUrlLength, or it points at a
local or LAN address, which is blocked unless Config.AllowPrivateAddresses is on.
"Pick up TV" is missing from the target menu
ox_target or qb-target isn't running, or starts after SAF TV. Use /pickuptv, or move ensure saf-tv below
your target resource.
